Hey all you travelers, here's a note
from one of Demand Travel's ecstatic family
experience:
Six of us decided to venture out to
Italy for a Grand Valley spring break this
year. Three of us had been to Italy before,
and we were taking young adults that had
never been and wanted to see everything. So
how to wrangle six suitcases, three cities,
planes and trains and hotels and touring all
the wonders of italy with very limited
language skills? Call Joy and she will hook
you up! Seriously we were luggage monsters,
and we have found that the hardest part of
traveling is getting from place to place
with all your stuff (I dare you to rent a
car and then try to find your hotel in Rome
from an address on a piece of paper) I am
still shuddering from that experience). With
this trip the parts we usually dread ended
up being the easiest!
And the entire trip was the definition of
easy...Imagine the luxury of blearily
arriving through customs with your luggage
in hand and seeing a smiling man standing
with your name on a card, who jumps to help
you with your bags, whisks you to a comfy
van, loads you up and delivers you to your
hotel door with hilarious attempts at
English vs. Italian conversation. And then
this happens in Rome, Florence and Venice
(or Roma, Firenze and Venezia, to all you in
the know). Our hotels were unique and
amazing, (one was even swanky; all sixties
cool) their locations perfect for walking to
all the monuments and museums we could fit
in, the beds luxurious and the breakfasts
included. Trains were booked and easy to
navigate, we were met seamlessly and taken
from city to city in amazing comfort.
We stayed right on the Grand Canal, for gosh
sakes, with our own private taxis and guides
of the city and our own private glass
blowing demonstration. We even impressed my
mother-in-law with the hotels and levels of
personal service. And we were on a budget,
people! So in case you cannot tell, we are
fans of On Demand Travel and of course, Joy
herself, and would and do recommend her to
anyone and everyone. Her personal touch and
attention to detail is amazing. Not to
mention
Donna Franca tours;
this was booked before the season began and
it was wonderful. Thanks for everything, and
happy traveling.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Beals and the Beals family (2012)
